Domaine de la Rouletière, vins Jean-Marc Gilet, Vins Vouvray

THE DOMAINE DE LA ROULETIERE proposes one of the widest ranges of wines available in the AOC Vouvray, with still wines ranging from sweet, such as the Cuvée Spéciale that Jean-Marc named “La Tardive”, fermented and aged in oak barrels, to sweet vintages with different selections depending on the annual sunshine rate, medium-dry and dry wines.

Vouvray Sec (dry) is a very subtle, fresh and lively wine.
It has rich aromas (acacia, pear, citrus fruits) with a mineral overture. It is best appreciated with seafood (Dublin Bay prawns, marinated or pan-fried fish…).
Vouvray Demi-Sec (medium-dry) is an initiation wine as it is very light. It has a silky texture, and develops fruity aromas; serve it with fish and sauce, white meat or as an aperitif.
Vouvray Moelleux (sweet) has fruity aromas (citrus, exotic fruits, preserved fruits), with notes of honey and sweet spices. Its delicate and smooth texture can be served as an aperitif, with foie gras but also compliments desserts beautifully.

Vouvray has a delicate but lengthy effervescence. On the palate, it has a persistent aroma of acacia, fresh fruit (apple, pear) and of dried fruit. Its intensity and freshness make it a perfect aperitif wine and also a good match for desserts such as charlottes or fruit mousses.

Touraine Rosé, made from the Pinot noir grape, has particularly fine bubbles and aromas with an accent of red fruit.

Stored in the cellar, the still wines will mature over the years while the sparkling wines should be drunk within 2 or 3 years. These wines should be drunk at 9°C for the still wines and at 10°C for the sparkling wines.
